What to pay attention to when renting a car – several recommendations:

Quite a few points affect the price of renting a vehicle, and sometimes it has a significant effect. Several points are worth paying attention to during the planning stage of the trip:

The time of returning the vehicle should be the same or earlier than when you picked up the car because the rental day count works in multiples of 24 hours from when the vehicle Is received. Plan in a way so you won't need to pay for an extra day on an hour or two of excess.
Each rental company has normal and unusual working hours. For us, it's between 8-18. That means that every act of receiving or returning the vehicle outside of these hours costs an additional 70 zlotys (as of today).
Receiving and returning the vehicle at your home address is nice and convenient, but on the other hand, we are talking about these drivers who do the service, and there may be delays during rush hours. Of course, the service involves a payment of 50 zlotys (as of today).
Reception/return at branches in central airports is carried out 24/7, and the return process is independent, so in this case, you are not bound by time frames and can return the vehicle at any given time up to the time you committed to in the order.
Important point – shortening the rental period when you already have the car is possible, but in this case, there is no obligation of the company to return the financial difference for the period in which you did not use the car.
Please note – in case of receiving the vehicle outside the borders of Poland, you will have to pay the entire amount, including the deposit, before your arrival. A link will be sent in a separate email, which you can pay with an online credit card.
Driver's license: holders of an American or Canadian license must also have an international license. Holders of an Israeli license can get the vehicle with no problem and drive on Polish roads without the international license, but if you plan to drive the car outside the borders of Poland – you must have the international license.
You must inform the renting company in advance (preferably at the stage of the quote) of your intention to leave Poland for a neighboring country in the European Union. The rental company must add overseas car insurance in this case.
Toll roads – both in Poland and outside the borders – it is always the customer's responsibility. Pay attention and check your route so as not to be exposed to high fines for not paying the toll in time/in advance.
It is strictly forbidden to drive vehicles outside the borders of Poland to countries that are not in the European Union, such as Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, etc.
Take care of the vehicle. Although you are covered by comprehensive insurance upon cancellation of participation, you still have an obligation to maintain the completeness and cleanliness of the vehicle and maintain reasonable use of the vehicle (for example, driving on marked roads intended for the travel of private vehicles).
Adjust the group of the vehicles to your needs and note that the company does not guarantee a certain vehicle model from the group.
